Each week, I will post questions, thoughts and links for you to read and make comments about. Each student can respond to a minimum of twice weekly. This can be counted as extra credit. Let me know if you have any questions about the current events blog. This can be done during our class time or you can work from home. Read about Irmo high School's new cell phone policy, what do you think about it?
i think that its stupid that the principal is banning cell phones from school. what if someone has and emergency and needs a cell phone and they dont have one. they will blame it on the principal.
I think that the new cell phone policy for Irmo High School, is really cool. I think all the schools should atleast try it out for a while, just to see how it goes. I think it gives the kids a chance to call home if they need to.
this is a goood idea. but then the one problem you have is kids know they can bring them so all of the kids that keep their cell phones at home will bring them and more will proably have them out in class. but it would be a good idea for all MIDDLE AND HIGH schools should try it at least for a while. But elementary schoolers should not be able to have thers.

I think it is a good idea because a lot of kids 10and up have cellphones. I think middle schoolers should be able to have them but not elementary kids. They are way too young and they need to pay attention to school work
Wow! I dont like that at all because kids might need it for something important like if they need to call their parents and they dont no there parents number and if the teachers or office dont have it then what are they gonna do
I think that it will be good for some students. But then I think they would get in more trouble with having your phones out in class, and being late for class. i dont think this is a good thing for the school though.
Having the privlage to use cell phones at school is great. Even if you only get a few minutes to use it, use it. only if we had that privlage here. . .

I think that is beast! Even though you can only use it for six minutes at a time you still get to use it. I think we should try that here at MC!
