Each week, I will post questions, thoughts and links for you to read and make comments about. Each student can respond to a minimum of twice weekly. This can be counted as extra credit. Let me know if you have any questions about the current events blog. This can be done during our class time or you can work from home. As we explore many different aspects of reading, writing, and current events, I think you will enjoy reading a variety of articles.

SC parents will be able to track your grades!! What do you think about this??

I think that this is good in one way and bad in another. I think it will be good because there will be no hiding what you made on a test or a project. I think it will be bad because it will probably cut out the comunication between parents and their children because that is what alot of their conversations are about.
i think...its good beacause parents should no what there children are makeing in school. And..the kids shouldnt be hideing there grades from there mom or dad!
i think that this could be both bad and good. its good because parents wouldnt have to ask their children to see their grades, they could just go online to see them, and their would be no hiding bad grades from your parents. its bad because then students might just stop telling their parents about their grades and expect them to just get on and look for themselves online.
i think it is good for the students. now with the new program we have our parents can look online to find out how their chhildren are doing in class and it will eventually affect the kids grades. i think teh parent will come down more on the kids and in the long run kids willl make better

I think that it is good because parents can check and see if kids are lying to them or not. It is also bad because kids will know if they checked and they will get fussed at more, and plus some kids really want thier privacy.
I think that is a very good idea because all parents will be able to know what is going on with their kids. However, it might not be good for some of the kids. :)

This is a help because your parents need to know where u stand on the grade scale and how you are doing in class! This is a very helpful thing!
