Each week, I will post questions, thoughts and links for you to read and make comments about. Each student can respond to a minimum of twice weekly. This can be counted as extra credit. Let me know if you have any questions about the current events blog. This can be done during our class time or you can work from home. As we explore many different aspects of reading, writing, and current events, I think you will enjoy reading a variety of articles.

Why sluggers can't hit curve balls... Do you agree or disagree with this article?
The curveball is a nasty pitch and while the mlb pitchers are throwing it 75 mph it is even nastier! People can hit a curveball by ajusting and seeing the ball so yes I agree with some of it and I disagree with some of the facts stated.
well, I dont no if I agree or disagree because well I dont no what to say about it. I might agree with it and I might not but either way if he did then cool
I partially agree with this article. I think that the MLB players have plenty of experience hitting curve balls, so they are used to it. On the other hand if I were to try and hit a curve ball, I do believe that I would fail. I'm not so sure that I could follow the ball well enough.
a curveball is a hard pitch to hit people in the pro leagues throw it about 75mph when their fastball is usally in the 90's thats pne reason why its so hard to hit cause its about 10 mph slower!

that isnt true it is true that most big hittters dont hit curve balls that well but some can
I agree because when a picher do a curve ball the ball might curve away the bat that cause them to missed.
