Each week, I will post questions, thoughts and links for you to read and make comments about. Each student can respond to a minimum of twice weekly. This can be counted as extra credit. Let me know if you have any questions about the current events blog. This can be done during our class time or you can work from home. As we explore many different aspects of reading, writing, and current events, I think you will enjoy reading a variety of articles.

Do you watch America's Got Talent? A local woman is going to try out.
Im excited for her, I want to hear her sing, I bet she is really good thanks to the 32 years of practice and coaching, its pretty cool that a woman in our area is goin to represent South Carolina on national TV!
I think it is amazing that she is going to America's Got Talent. I also think that it is cool that when she was born the doctors thought she would never talk...and now she is going to be on national TV.
No, I don't watch America's Got Talent, but I think it is so cool that a local woman is going to try out for the show. I am definetly going to watch it just to vote for her.
I think it's very good that she is going on America's Got Talent... It lets everyone know that having a disability should not get you from doing something you enjoy.
yes I watch it and that is really cool because I would of never knowm that she would bo on americas got talent because of what the doctors said to her.
That is cool that Angel is trying out for such a popular show.It is sad that Agent Orange from the war caused her disability just because her dad was in the war. It sounds like Angel is a wonderful person and it is great that she doesn't let anything get in the way of her dream.

I think that is cool. I am pulling for her and she is going to win. She may not have arms or two legs but her voice has to be killer.

That's good that she has a disability but is still going to try to make a life for herself.
That's good that she is going to reach for her dreams even though she is disabled.
