I dont think that it is fair to take our licences just because we missed school. It isnt fair because what if we were sick or something like that. But if we did we could get it back within a year. So i guess thats a good thing. Right? Well it would be better not to lose it at all so go to school and get a good education.

Honestly its wrong because what if your really sick, and you cant go to school for a week, they cant just take your licence..

I think this is a good idea. I think that students try to leave school and miss certain classes. This bill needs to excuse students that when parents call they can leave or for personel reasons.

THEY SHOULD EXCUSE EMERGENCIES.

I think that it is a good thing and a bad thing at the same time!!

i dont like this idea. Sometimes highschoolers drop out because they have to support their family, or have a child or something. this isnt fair

I think that they should and shouldn't do this because what if your parents were gone somewhere and you didnt have any other family members that could drive? how would you get to school?

I think it will help South Carolina. It will help us by less people being in jail. It will help teens live a better life.

I think that it is a good idea because maybe our drop out rate will go down. But, at the same time it could be bad because if there was an emergency, the person might need to drive and it wouldn't be legal for them to.

I think its kind of a good idea because than we wouldnt have so much drop outs and only the ones that really need to drop out to support their family or take care of their kids should be able to drop out and keep their licence. :)

I agree with lane and sarah. I do not think that this is a good idea. Many have to drop out because of a baby that they had, or they have to get a job to suport their family and keep their house. And if they miss 10 days of school because they are very sick and or something else personal go wrong, how is it right to take their liscense. I really don not think this is a good bill to pass.

I think that this is a very controversial topic, it can be good, by making teens stay in school butit can also be bad by what Sarah said about not being a able to afford it or having to support your family, but there are plans for low income families to afford school, and you can allways get helo from the community through food banks, that is what they are there for, of course the idea of not having a reason to have them would be amazing, but for now they are here, so use the resources you have and stay in school, i am quite sure it will help out n the long run.
